- 1 packed yeast
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 1 tablespoon All purpose flour
- 1/2 cup milk warm milk not hot

- 4 cup cake flour
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 3/4 tablespoon Salt
- 3 Egg
- 3 egg yolks
- As required Zest of orange
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- As required For Sugar Topping
- 0.67 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1 cup all purpose flour + 0.5 cup for dusting
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- As required For Decorations
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon Water
- As required Ate or fruit paste
- As required Candied or dried fruits
- As required Maraschino cherries red and green if available

How to Make Rosca De Reyes Recipe
STEP 01
In a container mix the yeast with sugar ,flour and warm milk ,set aside
STEP 02
In a large mixer add the flour, sugar,salt and mix together then add the eggs , eggs yolks , and orange zest , mix slowly
STEP 03
Add the butter slowly, add in the yeast and mix well
STEP 04
Flour the surface and add the dough. Work on it for about 20 minutes
STEP 05
Butter a bowl and keep the dough in the bowl, cover and let rest for about 1 and 1/2 hour,
STEP 06
Take it out add flour and roll out like a long baguette, make the dough in oval shape cut and set aside.
STEP 07
Make a sugar topping by combining the powdered sugar ,butter, flour , cinnamon and vanilla and mix it well
STEP 08
Make the egg wash by mixing an egg with water and brush it all ober the dough.
STEP 09
Add the sugar toppings. Heat an oven for 350 degress. Uncover and bake it for about 30 minutes.
