Roaster Tomatilla Salsa Recipe

A mexican recipe of tomatillos sauce. This salsa was originally a component in a seven-layer dip concept, but the salsa blew the dip out of the water. One part, on its own, is so much better than the other six combined. This salsa verde is so fresh and irresistible. That’s just what happens with a simple recipe made with natural ingredients. You can pick up each tomatillo, squeeze it to gauge ripeness and peel back the husk to look for bright green skin, but you don’t know how flavorful it really is until you taste it.

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 6 tomatillos
  • 1/4 onion sliced
  • 2 serrano pepper
  • 1 Garlic
  • As required Handful of cilantro
  • 1 Juice lime
  • As required Salt

  • STEP 1.Mix tomatillos, onions and serrano pepper with olive oil.

step 2

  • STEP 1.Add to a cookie sheet and place under broiler for 7mins. Let it cool.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Add in a blender with garlic, cilantro, lime and salt.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Blend into a smooth sauce and serve.
