Ingredients for Roasted Poha Chivada Recipe

  • 3/4 cups Roasted Poha chivda
  • 3/4 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • As Required Curry leaves
  • 0.13 cup Peanuts
  • 0.13 cup roasted chana dal
  • 1/2 tablespoon Cashewnut halved ( optional)
  • 1/20 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon Powdered sugar
  • To Taste Salt

Directions: Roasted Poha Chivada Recipe

  • STEP 1.Take a deep bottomed pan or skillet and dry roast the poha on a low flame for about 2-3 minutes. Stir continuously then keep aside in a bowl.
  • STEP 2.Heat the oil in the pan then add in the mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • STEP 3.Once the seeds crackle, add in the peanuts, roasted chana dal, and cashew nuts. Mix well and sauté on a medium flame for about 2-3 minutes until they turn golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add the turmeric powder, mix well and sauté for another 30 seconds on a medium flame.
  • STEP 5.Add the roasted poha, sugar, and salt. Mix well and cook on a low flame for about 2-3 minutes. Keep stirring continuously and keep aside to cool.
  • STEP 6.Once cool, store in an airtight container.
