This is our family favourite dish especially on diwali.as it's our grand parents receipe. Every time on diwali we make this amazing dieting chivda at home. U can eat it anytime and everytime. My father in law like it very much. Without this chivda d diwali is in complete even though there r so many dishes. As it is like kids diwali popcorn.i like it very much hope u all like it.

Ingredients for Roasted Murmura and Makhna Chivda(Diwali Popcorn) Recipe

  • 1/2 Cups murmura puffed rice (murmura)
  • 0.38 Cup thin flattened rice thin piha)
  • 0.38 Cups fox nuts ( makhana)
  • 1/4 Tbsp cumin power
  • 1/4 Tbsp coariandar powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 0.13 Tbsp Chat masala
  • 1/4 Tbsp Sugar
  • 3/4 Tbsp Oil
  • 1/4 Tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 Tbsp Peanuts
  • 1/2 Tbsp Cashewnuts
  • 1/2 Tbsp Almonds
  • 1/2 Tbsp Raisins
  • A Stem Curry leaves
  • 1/2 g reen chillies chopped
  • 0.06 Tsp asafoetida (hing)
  • 0.06 Tsp tour
  • To Taste Salt

Directions: Roasted Murmura And Makhna Chivda(diwali Popcorn) Recipe

  • STEP 1.First dry roast murmura,poha,makhana at slow flame for 5 to 7 minutes. Keep aside. Grind all d spices (cumin powder, Kashmiri red chillies powder, coriander powder,sugar,chaat masala). Keep aside. Heat oil in a pan.add mustard seeds. Once splutter add peanut saute for 30 seconds. Add raisins,curry leaves,green chillies saute for while. Turn off the flame. Add hing,salt,turmeric mix well. Add Makhana, poha,murmure. Now turn on d flame. Mix everything very well. Add ground spices. Mix well continuously for another 2 minutes at slow flame. Remove from flame. Allow it to cool down completely. Store in a airtight container.
