  • 0.33 cup Besan
  • 0.33 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 0.67 Green Chilies, Finely Chopped
  • 0.33 inch Ginger, Grated
  • 0.67 tablespoon Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 0.17 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 0.08 teaspoon Turmeric Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, mix together leftover cooked rice, besan, chopped onions, green chilies, ginger, coriander leaves, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
  • STEP 2.Add water gradually to form a thick batter.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in a deep pan for frying.
  • STEP 4.Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden and crispy.
  • STEP 5.Remove from oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  • STEP 6.Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure the leftover rice is not too moist. If it is, you can spread it on a plate and let it dry for a while before using.
  • Adjust the spice levels according to your preference.
