  • 8 cup Water
  • 4 cup red kidney beans
  • 2 cup coconut milk
  • 6 sprig Thyme
  • 3 No.s garlic cloves
  • 1 No.s scotch bonnet pepper
  • As required Salt
  • As required Black pepper
  • 6 Stalks Scallion

How to Make Rice And Peas Recipe

STEP 01

1 - wash and soak the kidney beans for 2 hours.

STEP 02

1 - boil the kidney beans for 45 minutes on medium high flame.

STEP 03

2 - now add scallion, thyme, garlic, scotch bonnet pepper and coconut milk.

STEP 04

3 - bring it to boil.

STEP 05

4 - add rice and give everything a nice mix.

STEP 06

5 - reduce the heat to low.

STEP 07

6 - cover and cook for 25 minutes.
