Ingredients for RESTAURANT STYLE SOYA CHAAP MASALA Recipe

  • 75 g Soya chaap cut into bite pieces
  • 1/4 Cups • oil (for frying)
  • 0.13 cup Curd
  • 0.13 tsp Salt
  • 0.13 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 tbsp Oil for the curry
  • 1/2 Tbsp Butter for curry
  • 1/2 Pieces green chilli
  • 1/4 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 Pieces Tomatoes blanched and pureed
  • 1/2 tbsp Dabur readymade puree
  • 1/2 Pieces bay leaf
  • 1/4 inch Cinnamon
  • 3/4 Pieces Cloves
  • 1/2 Pieces green cardamom pods
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
  • to taste Salt
  • 0.13 tsp turmeric powder
  • 0.38 tsp deggi mirch
  • 1/4 tbsp coriander powder
  • 0.13 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 0.13 tsp Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1/4 tbsp Kasuri methi
  • 1/2 tbsp Fresh green coriander

Directions: Restaurant Style Soya Chaap Masala Recipe

  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a pan or kadhai on high heat. Once hot, fry the soya chaap pieces on medium till golden brown all over. Remove and place in a bowl. Add salt , red chilli powder and butter and mix while still hot. Add the curd, mix & set aside for 30 mins . In the same pan, in the hot oil, toss in cinnamon, green cardamom, cloves & bay leaves. Sauté 30 seconds. Add  cumin seeds, let splutter & add onions and green chillies. Sauté till onion turns golden brown, 7-8 mins. Add a tbsp water and continue to cook for another 2 mins. Toss in salt, red chilli powder, turmeric and coriander powder & ginger garlic paste;  stir, and cook for about 3 mins. Reduce heat to low, add sugar & cook till oil leaves the masala, about 5-6 mins. Now add the fried marinated soya chaap pieces. Sauté till well coated with the masala then pour 1½ cups hot water. Mix well & cook covered for 5 minutes. Sprinkle in garam masala powder , kasuri methi and coriander leaves and cook for another 2 minutes. Adjust consistency. Serve hot with steamed rice or chapatis.
