Ingredients for Rawa Tomato Upma Recipe

  • 0.33 cups rava
  • 1 cups water
  • 0.33 pieces Onion
  • 0.17 pieces Capsicums
  • 0.33 pieces Tomato
  • 0.33 pieces Carrot
  • 3.33 pieces Beans
  • 0.67 Tbsp Coriander leaves
  • 0.67 pieces Green chilli
  • 0.33 tsp Chana dal
  • 0.33 tsp Urad dhuli dal
  • 0.17 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 0.17 cups Peas
  • 0.17 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 0.67 Tbsp Cooking oil
  • to taste Salt
  • 0.08 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 0.08 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 0.67 Pieces Red whole chilli
  • 1.67 Pieces Cashew nuts

Directions: Rawa Tomato Upma Recipe

  • STEP 1.Peel, Wash and chop all vegetables. Gather and measure all the ingredients for making upma.
  • STEP 2.Dry roast semolina in a wok for 2 minutes. Its colour should not change. Remove it in a plate.
  • STEP 3.Add cooking oil in tbiz wok. Add mustard seeds and when mustard seeds splutter add cumin seeds.
  • STEP 4.Now add Urad dhuli dal and chana dal and saute for 1 minute. Add whole red chilli and cashew nuts and saute for 30 seconds. Add chopped onion and cook till translucent. Now add all chopped vegetables except tonati and cook on low flame till it turn soft.
  • STEP 5.Nowadd salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander seeds powder and mix well.
  • STEP 6.Now add water and tomato and
  • STEP 7.cook till water comes to boil.
  • STEP 8.Now add semolina in it in Batches to avoid formation of lumps. Keep stirring in between.
  • STEP 9.Switch off the flame when all water is absorbed.
  • STEP 10.Serve hot with Tomato ketchup or chutney of your choice.
