Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Peel the raw bananas and cut them into small cubes.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, urad dal, and curry leaves.
  • STEP 3.Once the mustard seeds start spluttering, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  • STEP 5.Add the raw banana cubes and mix well. Cover and cook until the bananas are tender.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.

Cooking Tips

  • To prevent the raw bananas from turning black, you can soak them in water with a little lemon juice.
  • You can add grated coconut or roasted peanuts for added texture and flavor.
  • Adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less red chili powder.
