Ingredients for Rava Ladoo Recipe

  • As required Ingredients for Roasting
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1/4 cup Cashew nuts roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup Raisins
  • As required Ingredients for Ladoo
  • 2 cup Rava
  • 3/4 cup Suga ground finer
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee for roasting + 0.5 cup ghee for mixing
  • 1/4 cup Dessicated Coconut
  • 2 teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • As required Milk

Directions: Rava Ladoo Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.In a pan heat 1 tbsp ghee, add ¼ cup roughly chopped cashew nuts and saute on medium heat till golden brown and crisp. This takes 2 to 3 minutes. Then add ½ cup raisins and saute till they puff up. Turn off the heat and keep cashews and raisins aside.

  • STEP 1.To the pan add 1 tbsp ghee, add 2 cups rava and saute continuously to ensure that the rava browns evenly. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes on medium heat till golden brown. Turn off the heat.

  • STEP 1.3in the small grinding jar put ¾ cup of sugar and grind it to a fine powder. To this add the roasted rava, ¼ cup desiccated coconut and 2 tsp cardamom powder. Pulse to get a slightly coarse texture.

  • STEP 1.Transfer this ground rava ladoo mixture to a wide bowl and add ½ cup ghee.

  • STEP 2.5mix well to combine the ground mixture and the ghee. Add the cashew and raisins. Ensuring hands are clean, shape the ladoo by compressing a small portion of mixture in the fist and shape it into small tight balls. Make sure to shape the ladoo while the mixture is still warm.

  • STEP 3.7if the mixture is not holding together, more moisture is required. Add 1tbsp of milk at a time to the bowl and combine well and try to shape the ladoo again.

  • STEP 4.8place the shaped ladoos on a plate. They should be tight balls. The ladoos will harden further as they cool down.
