Ingredients for Rajma Chawal Recipe

  • 62.50 gms rajma
  • 1/2 Pieces Big onions finely chopped
  • 1 Pieces Tomato
  • 1/4 inch Ginger
  • 1.75 Pieces 7-8 cloves of g
  • 1/2 Pieces reen Chilli
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 A Pinch pinch Hin
  • 1/4 tsp Haldi powder
  • 0.38 tsp 1 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp Garam masala
  • As Required Red chilli powder as per taste
  • as required water
  • 1/2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tbsp ghee (optional)
  • A Handful Some chopped coriander

Directions: Rajma Chawal Recipe

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the rajma overnight..
  • STEP 2.Morning wash it nicely and add water and pressure cook it till 6-7 whistles..
  • STEP 3.It should be soft..
  • STEP 4.In a kadai add oil and add finely chopped onions and saute till slightly golden in colour.
  • STEP 5.Make a puree of tomatoes, green chilli, garlic and ginger.. And add this to sauted onions..
  • STEP 6.Add haldi, red chilli powder,kashmiri red chilli powder, garam masala and saute till oil floats..
  • STEP 7.Add this to boiled rajma and add salt to taste and add water as required... And pressure cook till one whistle..
  • STEP 8.Open it and add ghee and mix well..
  • STEP 9.Garnish with chopped coriander and serve with rice..
