Kashmiri Rajma Masala is a delicious recipe with flavors from dry ginger powder and fennel powder. Rajma, also known as rajmah, rāzmā, or lal lobia, is a vegetarian dish, originating from the Indian subcontinent, consisting of red kidney beans in a thick gravy with many Indian whole spices, and is usually served with rice. It is a part of regular diet in India.

Ingredients for Rajma Recipe

  • 300 gram Kidney Beans
  • 1 Onion
  • 3 Tomatoes
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • 2-3 garlic buds
  • 1/2 turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon dry ginger powder
  • 2 tablespoon fennel powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon roasted cumin seeds powder
  • As required Salt
  • 1 tablespoon kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 2 badi Elaichi
  • 4-5 Cloves

Directions: Rajma Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.In the nightlong soaked rajma, add turmeric, dry ginger powder, fennel powder, cumin powder, elaichi and cloves, pressure cook for forty minutes.

step 2

  • STEP 1.Add drawn butter in a very large pan.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Once the drawn butter is hot, add cumin seeds, and heeng and allow them to crackle for a couple of seconds.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Add onion and fry till slightly golden brown.

step 5

  • STEP 2.Now add tomato and kashmiri lal mirch and cook till oil separates from constant and currently add a number of cooked rajma , mash it.

step 6

  • STEP 3.Add the tadka into the cookedrajma ,pressure cook it for ten minutes and tack it with coriander and serve it hot .
