Ingredients for Rail Palaram Recipe

  • 2 cup Rice Flour
  • 2 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Oil for greasing
  • As required Ingredients for Tempering
  • 1 tablespoon Bengal Gram
  • 1 tablespoon Green Gram
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 Nos Chopped Onions
  • 1 tablespoon Grated Coconut
  • 2 Nos Chopped Green Chili
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chili powder
  • As required Salt

Directions: Rail Palaram Recipe

  • STEP 1.Soak bangal gram and green gram and make a paste for tempering.
  • STEP 2.In a pan add 2 cups of water and 1tsp of salt and let boil.
  • STEP 3.Take 2 cups of rice flour in a mixing bowl and add the water slowly mixing promptly, prepare a dough.
  • STEP 4.Grease your palms with oil and prepare small spherical shape balls with the dough .
  • STEP 5.Grease a steamer and steam the rice flour balls for about 15 - 20 minutes.
  • STEP 6.For tampering, take a pan and add oil, let the oil heat before adding cumin seeds and chopped green chili.
  • STEP 7.Add the prepared bengal gram and green gram paste and cook for 5 -7 minutes. Add chopped onions.
  • STEP 8.Add grated coconut, turmeric powder and red chili powder with salt and combine well.
  • STEP 9.Add the boiled rice flour balls in the mix and combine for 5 minutes in medium flame.
  • STEP 10.Rail palaram is ready to serve.
