Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a saucepan, bring water to a boil.
  • STEP 2.In a separate bowl, mix ragi flour with a little water to make a smooth paste.
  • STEP 3.Slowly add the ragi paste to the boiling water, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  • STEP 4.Reduce the heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the mixture thickens.
  • STEP 5.Add cardamom powder and jaggery to taste, and stir until the jaggery dissolves.
  • STEP 6.Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving.
  • STEP 7.Serve the Ragi Malt warm or chilled, garnished with chopped nuts.

Cooking Tips

  • You can adjust the consistency of the Ragi Malt by adding more or less water.
