  • 0.06 cup Urad Dal Flour

  • STEP 1.In a blender, grind together rice flour, urad dal flour, salt, and water to make a smooth batter.
  • STEP 2.Heat a non-stick pan or a dosa tawa on medium heat and grease it lightly with oil.
  • STEP 3.Pour a ladleful of batter onto the center of the pan and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin dosa.
  • STEP 4.Drizzle some oil around the edges of the dosa and cook until the bottom turns golden brown.
  • STEP 5.Flip the dosa and cook for a minute on the other side until it becomes crispy.
  • STEP 6.Remove the dosa from the pan and repeat the process with the remaining batter.
  • STEP 7.Serve the quick dosa hot with coconut chutney and sambar.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure the batter is of pouring consistency, similar to pancake batter.
  • If the pan is too hot, the dosa may stick. Adjust the heat accordingly.
  • For a variation, you can add finely chopped onions, green chilies, or coriander leaves to the batter before making the dosa.
