  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chili Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Boil the potatoes until they are fork-tender. Peel and cut them into cubes.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, bay leaf, and whole spices. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Then add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
  • STEP 4.Add tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates from the masala.
  • STEP 5.Add the boiled potato cubes and mix well. Cook for a few minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.
  • STEP 6.Add water and simmer the curry for 10-15 minutes until the potatoes are fully cooked and the gravy thickens.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
