Ingredients for Qatayef With Cream Recipe

  • 1 tablespoon CUSTARD POWDER
  • 1 tablespoon CORN FLOUR
  • 1 cup MILK
  • 3 tablespoon SUGAR
  • 1/2 cup SUGAR
  • 1 cup WATER
  • 1/2 teaspoon ROSE WATER
  • 1/2 teaspoon LEMON JUICE
  • 1/2 cup FLOUR
  • 1/2 cup SEMOLINA
  • 1/4 teaspoon YEAST
  • 1/2 teaspoon BAKING POWDER
  • 0.12 teaspoon SALT
  • 1.25 Cupwater
  • As required PISTACHIOS

Directions: Qatayef With Cream Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl add the custard powder, cornflour, milk, and make a runny slurry.

  • STEP 2.In a large mixing bowl add ½ cup flour, ½ semolina, yeast, baking powder, sugar, and a dash of salt, mix all the dry ingredients thoroughly. Then add 1 ¼ cup of little at a time and make a batter. It should be a runny batter. Cover it with a plastic wrap and let it rest for at least 30mins.

  • STEP 3.After 30mins the batter will thicken a bit. Give a cook stir before cooking.

  • STEP 4.Take a pot to add the milk surry and cook it on medium flame. Then add 2tbsp sugar, stir until the sugar melts.

  • STEP 5.Step once the slurry thickens and gets sticky, take it out in a bowl and keep it aside, let it cool down.

  • STEP 6.Take another pot and add ½ cup sugar and 1 cup water, stir until the sugar melts and then bring it to a boil. Add the lemon juice and rosewater for the flavor and aroma. Cook it for 10 mins and then turn off the flame and let it cool.

  • STEP 7.Now in a skillet we will cook the pancakes, take 2tbsp of the batter and place in the non-stick skillet, cook it for a min on medium flame. Cook it only from one side.

  • STEP 8.Continue the same with the rest of the batter.

  • STEP 9.Plating take a pancake and add tsp of custard cream, spread it lightly, and then make a corn shape with the pancake pressing the edges and repeat the same. You can also add a little whipped cream for decorating. Garnish it with some crushed pistachios. And it’s ready to serve.
