How to Make Pyaaz Ka Paratha/onion Paratha Recipe


1 in the zodiac masterchef jar attach the atta kneading blade. Add 2 cups of whole wheat flour, 1 tsp oil, 1 tsp salt. Add water a little at a time and knead. Add 1 tsp oil and continue kneading to form a firm smooth dough.


2 when the dough comes together remove it from the jar and place it in a bowl. Knead for a minute or two to make sure the dough is smooth. divide the dough and shape into large lemon size balls. Keep aside.


3 to make the filling, preheat a pan and add 1 tsp oil, 1 tsp ajwain seeds and 2 onions finely chopped. Saute till the onions turn tender and light brown. Turn off the heat.


4 then add ½ tsp red chilli powder, 2 chopped green chillies, ¼ tsp amchur powder , ¼ cup finely chopped pudina (mint) leaves. Stir to mix and combine all the ingredients well. Add salt to taste.


5 to make the parathas, dust the flat surface with flour and dust the ball of dough and roll it out into two inch diameter circles. Spoon the onion mixture on the centre and bring the edges together. Pinch the edges closed and seal gently. lightly flatten the dough and dust it with flour. Gently roll it into a thick paratha of 4 to 5 inches diameter. If filling shows, dust flour over the tear.


6 place the paratha on a preheated pan. cook till colour starts to change. Smear ghee and flip over. Cook by pressing gently till both sides of the paratha are golden brown and cooked through.


7 remove from the heat and serve hot with palak mushroom makhani and curd.
