Ingredients for Puti Macher Tok Recipe

  • 4 Fish
  • 2 cup tamarind juice
  • 2 tablespoon Chopped garlic
  • 4 green cardamoms
  • 2 stick Cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoon red chili powder
  • As required Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • As required Coriander leaves

step 1

  • STEP 1.Brush off the shells of the fish and wash them thoroughly and Softly give small cuts to the fish with the help of any sharp object, so that the masala enter properly

  • STEP 1.Now take the fish in a bowl and add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to taste and coat the fish well with them and let sit for 10-20 minutes.

  • STEP 1.Take a kadai, pour 7-8tbsp mustard oil and heat it and add the coated fish and deep fry them. Fry them until brown,

  • STEP 1.Now take out the fishes from the oil and keep it aside.

  • STEP 2.If needed remove some oil from the kadai.

  • STEP 3.Now with the oil left in the kadai, add the green cardamoms and cinnamon sticks. Saute them until the aroma enhances.

  • STEP 4.Now add the chopped garlic and saute them till the raw smell goes away.

  • STEP 5.Add the tamarind juice to the kadai and mix all of them well.

step 12

  • STEP 6.Add salt to taste (you added salt in the fish, so not much salt will be needed) and 2tbsp sugar.

  • STEP 1.Now add the fried fishes and give it a good stir, cook it for 8-10 minutes and add water if needed.

  • STEP 7.Garnish it with coriander leaves.
