A idle snack stuffed of bengal gram and jaggery made in Andhra style .Boorelu, one of the most popular sweets prepared in the homes of Andhras, symbolic of joy and festivity, completely embodies the idea of a traditional Andhra sweet to the hilt.This perennial favorite is a deep-fried sweet ball, the filling of which is prepared from bengal gram, jaggery or sugar, coconut and cardamom powder being the flavor enhancer, which is dipped in a batter made from black gram dal and rice and deep-fried to a golden brown color.

  • 1 cup Bengali gram
  • 1 cup Jaggery
  • 1 cup Black gram
  • 2 cup Rice
  • As required Oil for deep fry
  • As required Salt
  • As required Water
  • 1 teaspoon Elaichi powder

  • STEP 1.Soak and boil the bengali gram , them smash

  • STEP 2.Smash the jaggery well

  • STEP 3.Heat a pan and add the jaggery

  • STEP 4.Add water to keep its consistency

  • STEP 5.Add the boiled and smashed bengal gram in the jaggery
