Ingredients for Punjabi chhole Recipe
- 0.13 cup White chickpeas
- 1/4 tsp Tea leaves
- 1/2 Pieces Tomatoes
- 1/4 g A large onion finely chopped
- 1/4 g Ginger garlic paste
- 1/4 g Finely chopped green chili
- 0.13 tbsp Red chili powder
- 0.06 tbsp Turmeric powder
- 1/4 tbsp Chhole masala
- 3/4 tbsp Cooking oil
- to taste Salt

How to Make Punjabi Chhole Recipe
STEP 01
1.soak white chickpeas in water overnight.
STEP 02
2 Tie I tbsp tea leaves,bay leaf,cinnamon and babi elaichi in a muslin cloth and put it in pressure cooker along with chickpeas.
STEP 03
3. Add salt to chickpeas. Pressure cook the chickpeas till 4-5 whistles.
STEP 04
4.When the pressure is released, open the lid.
STEP 05
5.Remove the muslin potli and drain water from chickpeas. Keep them aside.
STEP 06
6.Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan.Add chopped onions and cook till golden brown.
STEP 07
7.Add tomato puree,green chilies andcook till oil gets separated
STEP 08
8.Now add turmeric powder Chilli powder and 1 tbsp chhole masala.Cook for 5 minutes.
STEP 09
9.Now add boiled chickpeas and 1 cup water (drained from chickpeas).
STEP 10
10.Mix well,cook till the gravy gets thick.
STEP 11
11.Serve with poori,parantha,rice or bhature
