Ingredients for Punjabi chana Recipe

  • 25 gram chana
  • as required Salt
  • 1/25 teaspoon ajwain
  • 0.08 Pieces Black cardamom
  • as required water
  • 0.17 tbsp Ghee
  • 0.08 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 0.08 Pieces Onion
  • 0.08 teaspoon ginget paste
  • 0.08 teaspoon Garlic paste
  • 0.33 pieces Tomatoes
  • 0.08 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 0.08 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 0.08 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 0.17 teaspoon Chana masala
  • 0.17 pieces Green chillies
  • 0.17 tbsp Coriander leaves

Directions: Punjabi Chana Recipe

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak white chana for atleast 4 hours.Put it in pressure cooker, switch on the flame add salt, ajwain and black cardamom in it , add water as required to it, close the lid, wait for a whistle.simmer the flame, cook for 20 minutes or until chanas are soft .
  • STEP 2.Heat ghee in a pan , put cumin seeds, saute for half a minute, add onion grated, cook till golden brown add ginger garlic paste, green chillies chopped, cook for a minute, add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chana powder, mix and cook for a minute add some water, cook add grated Tomatoes to it , cook till oil seperates. Add boiled chana, cover and cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
  • STEP 3.Switch off the flame.Add coriander leaves.
