Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Heat ghee in a pan and add grated pumpkin. Cook until the pumpkin becomes soft and mushy.
  • STEP 2.Add sugar and cook until it dissolves completely. Stir continuously to avoid sticking to the bottom.
  • STEP 3.Add cardamom powder and saffron strands for flavor. Mix well and cook for a few more minutes.
  • STEP 4.Garnish with chopped nuts like almonds and cashews. Serve hot or chilled as per preference.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to use a non-stick pan to prevent sticking of the halwa.
  • You can adjust the sweetness of the halwa by adding more or less sugar according to your taste.
