Black sticky rice, a long-grain glutinous rice used in Thai desserts and often mixed with white sticky rice and cooked by steaming. Black Japonica rice, a mixture of black short-grain japonica rice and medium-grain red rice developed in California that's good for rice salads. Dark colored like wild rice, black glutinous rice is short grained and sticky when fully cooked. Despite it's name, it is actually a dark purple color.

- 4 tablespoon glutinous rice
- 2 Nos pandan leaves
- 815 milliliter Water
- 70 gram rock sugar
- 30 gram palm sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon corn flour
- As required Coconut milk

How to Make Pulut Hitam Black Glutinous Rice Recipe
Soak glutinous rice in water for at least 15 mins.
Boil glutinous rice along with pandan leaves at high flame.
Once it starts boiling reduce the flame and cook it for 30 mins until rice puffs up.
Now pour the glutinous rice in a big bowl and add rock sugar and palm sugar.
Mix cornflour with water and add it too if needed to thicken it.
Serve hot or cold with drizzle of coconut.
