An easy and quick dessert prepared from black glutinous rice and coconut milk. Black sticky rice, a long-grain glutinous rice used in Thai desserts and often mixed with white sticky rice and cooked by steaming. Black Japonica rice, a mixture of black short-grain japonica rice and medium-grain red rice developed in California that's good for rice salads. Dark colored like wild rice, black glutinous rice is short grained and sticky when fully cooked. Despite it's name, it is actually a dark purple color.
