  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard Seeds

  • 1/4 Onion, Chopped
  • 1/4 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon Coriander Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/2 Tomatoes, Chopped
  • 1/4 tablespoon Tamarind Pulp
  • 0.13 cup Coconut Milk
  • as per your need Fresh Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Directions: Prawn Spicy Curry/prawn Kulambu Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Clean and devein the prawns, keeping the tails intact.
  • STEP 2.In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and chopped onions. Saute until the onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for a minute.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
  • STEP 5.Add the prawns and cook for 5-7 minutes until they turn pink and are cooked through.
  • STEP 6.Add tamarind pulp and coconut milk. Simmer for a few minutes until the flavors blend together.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or roti.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to clean and devein the prawns properly before cooking.
  • Adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less red chili powder.
  • For a thicker gravy, you can add a paste made of cashews or poppy seeds.
