A simple and delicious preparation of stir fried juicy prawns and scrambled eggs flavoured with garlic chives. Egg Foo Yung is a Chinese-inspired omelette dish. In this version, vegetables and prawns are combined with beaten eggs then fried and shaped into small bites. Served with a thick sauce made with chicken stock and soy sauce.

Ingredients for Prawn Egg Fu Yung Recipe

  • 130 gram Raw prawns
  • 4 No.s Eggs
  • 2 tablespoon Garlic chives
  • 0.33 teaspoon Ground white pepper

Directions: Prawn Egg Fu Yung Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 break 4 eggs into a mixing bowl, add ⅓ tsp white ground pepper, salt to taste and whisk together well.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok on high heat, add 130 gm shelled and deveined raw prawns and stir fry till they turn pink.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3 add the egg mixture over the prawns and stir and cook for 2 minutes till eggs are cooked.

step 4

  • STEP 4.4 add 2 tbsp finely chopped garlic chives and stir for 1 minute.

step 5

  • STEP 5.5 transfer to a serving bowl.
