  • 1/4 kilogram Spot prawns, shells on, cleaned if necessary and heads on or off
  • As required Sprinkle the prawns with a little salt, turmeric and chilli powder and mix to coat them evenly
  • 1 Medium onions, finely sliced
  • 3/4 cup Finely sliced shallots
  • 1/2 sprig Curry leaves
  • 1-1.50 Green chillis, slit
  • 3-3.50 Cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 cup Freshly grated coconut, ground to a paste
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/2 As required Tsp chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin, roasted dark
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard, roasted
  • As required Oil, preferably coconut
  • 1-1.50 piece Kudampuli
