This cocktail doesn’t see a definite origin but is believed that it originated around a 19th-century by a miner from California and oyesters were first used in it. This seafood cocktail with some crunchy lettuce is sweet, tangy at the same time. The cocktail sauce is not really but a simple mix ketchup plus mayonnaise or ketchup and horseradish like seen in United States. In this cocktails other seafood like oysters, squid or any other seafood also at times is used in place shrimp.

  • 5 tablespoon Mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoon Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Cream
  • 1 tablespoon Brandy
  • 5 Tabasco sauce drops
  • 2 tablespoon Horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 10 piece Prawns
  • 1 slices of onions

How to Make Prawn Cocktail Recipe

Cooking Directions

STEP 01

Peal the prawn and clean them. Also clean the lettuce leaves and place it in the wine glass.

STEP 02

Mix all sauce ingredients to make the sauce. Season it with pepper, lemon juice and salt.

STEP 03

Now place the prawns in the glass and add the sauce. Add the remaining prawns and sprinkle some pepper and tobasco.

Add onion, lemon, parsley, bay leaves, salt and water.

STEP 03

Add the prawns and steam.

Take out the prawns and refrigerate.

STEP 05

In mixing bowl, add mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, tabasco sauce, cream, pepper, a pinch of salt, paprika , lime juice and brandy.

STEP 06

Combine well.

STEP 07

Add the prawns and coat well.

Storage And Serving Method

STEP 01

Serve in a bowl on an ice stand.
