Ingredients for Pozole Blacon Recipe

  • 1 piece whole chicken chopped into
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 10 cup water divided
  • 4 cup canned hominy drained and rinsed
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 cube chicken bouillon or substitute for chicken broth
  • As required Optional Toppings
  • As required Diced Onions
  • As required Dried oregano
  • As required Shredded Cabbage or Lettuce
  • As required Chile de arbol
  • As required Lime
  • As required Cilantro

Directions: Pozole Blacon Recipe

  • STEP 1.Add all the chicken in a pot, along with onion, garlic, salt, pepper and 5 cups of water, cover and cook for an hour.
  • STEP 2.Remove the chicken and reserve the water
  • STEP 3.Shred the chicken after its cold
  • STEP 4.Add the shredded chicken in a pot. Add hominy and oregano, remaining water, chicken bouillon,and cook it at low flame for about 45 minutes.
