Ingredients for Potli Samosa Recipe

  • As required For potali samosa dough
  • 1/4 cup maida/ AP flour
  • As required ¼ cup semolina/ suji
  • As required ½ tsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp Ghee
  • As required Water (as per required)
  • As required for filling...
  • 1/2 nos cucumber (Fresh+wash+Grate)
  • As required ¼ hung curd
  • 1/4 tsp red chilli powder (kashmiri)
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • As required Salt as per taste
  • As required Black salt as per taste salt as per
  • As required ½ tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • As required ¼ tsp Asafoetida hing
  • 1/2 nos green chilli
  • As required fresh coriander

Directions: Potli Samosa Recipe

  • STEP 1.Prepare the Dough
  • STEP 2.In a large bowl, mix maida, semolina, salt, and ghee.
  • STEP 3.Rub the ghee into the flour until the mixture looks crumbly.
  • STEP 4.Gradually add water and knead into a firm, smooth dough.
  • STEP 5.Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15–20 minutes.
  • STEP 6.For the Filling
  • STEP 7.Grate the cucumbers and squeeze out excess water completely.
  • STEP 8.In a bowl, mix grated cucumber, hung curd, red chilli powder, cumin powder, salt, black salt, cinnamon powder, hing, green chillies, and chopped coriander.
  • STEP 9.Mix well and keep the filling aside.
  • STEP 10.Shape the Potali Samosa
  • STEP 11.Divide the dough into small lemon-sized balls.
  • STEP 12.Roll out each ball into a small circle (like a puri).
  • STEP 13.Place 1–2 tsp of the filling in the center.
  • STEP 14.Gather the edges together and pinch the top to form a small potli.
  • STEP 15.Seal properly so the filling doesn’t spill out.
  • STEP 16.For the baking
  • STEP 17.Air Fryer: Preheat to 180°C. Lightly brush the potli samosas with oil or butter and air fry at 170°C for 10 minutes. Turn, then air fry at 180°C for 4–6 minutes until crisp and golden.
  • STEP 18.Serve
  • STEP 19.Serve hot with mint chutney, tamarind chutney, or garlic yogurt dip.
  • STEP 20.Perfect for tea-time or festive snacks!
