Ingredients for Potato Pancakes/Aloo Cheela Recipe

  • 1.50 No.s Potato
  • 1 tablespoon corn flour
  • 1 tablespoon gram flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper, crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 No.s green chilli, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon spring onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon oil for roasting

Directions: Potato Pancakes/aloo Cheela Recipe

  • STEP 1.Take 3 large potatoes, peel the skin and grate it.
  • STEP 2.Soak grated potato for 5 minutes.
  • STEP 3.Now drain the grated potatoes and remove all the water.
  • STEP 4.Add 2 tbsp of corn flour and 2 tbsp of gram flour.
  • STEP 5.Then add ½ tsp of crushed pepper, ½ tsp of cumin, 1 green chilli, 2 tbsp spring onion and ½ tsp salt.
  • STEP 6.Combine everything well, and check the batter consistency, if the batter still is thin add some more flour.
  • STEP 7.In a hot pan drop a full tablespoon of potato mixture.
  • STEP 8.Spread as thin as possible.
  • STEP 9.Pour a tsp of oil around the corners of the pancake.
  • STEP 10.Roast the pancake on low to medium flame.
  • STEP 11.Flip over and cook both sides till the pancakes turns golden and crisp.
  • STEP 12.Serve on a plate and enjoy.
