A popular Breakfast which is mostly found as a street food in India. It is filled with potatoes, onions, tomatoes, capsicum and cheddar cheese. Served with green chutney or ketchup.

Ingredients for Potata Sandwich Recipe

  • 1 No.s potatoes ,boiled and mashed
  • 1/4 No.s onion, finely chopped
  • 0.13 No.s capsicum, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon coriander, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 0.13 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 No.s slices bread, white / brown
  • 2 tablespoon tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoon green chutney
  • 1/2 No.s tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper, crushed
  • 110 gram cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter for roasting

Directions: Potata Sandwich Recipe

  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl take 2 boiled potatoes and mash them, then add ½ chopped onion,¼ chopped capsicum and 1 tbsp coriander.
  • STEP 2.Add ½ tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp chaat masala and ¼ tsp salt.
  • STEP 3.Mix everything well.
  • STEP 4.Now take 2 slices of bread and at one side spread 1 tbsp tomato sauce and 1 tbsp green chutney on each slice of bread.
  • STEP 5.Spread a tbsp of prepared potato mix over the bread slice.
  • STEP 6.Place tomato slices over potato mix and sprinkle crushed black pepper.
  • STEP 7.Add the grated cheddar cheese generously over the sandwich.
  • STEP 8.Cover with another slice of bread and press gently with your palms.
  • STEP 9.Roast the sandwich with butter on both sides and cut the bread in half.
  • STEP 10.Serve hot to enjoy a cheesy potato sandwich
