Pot stickers have a very unique and twisty difference from dumplings due to the way that they are cooked making them crispier than dumplings.

Ingredients for Pot Stickers Recipe

  • 85 gram napa cabbage or bok choy
  • 3 teaspoon Salt
  • 450 gram lean ground pork
  • 1/4 cup green onions
  • 1 tablespoon white wine
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Dash white pepper
  • As required For the Dumpling Dough
  • 2 cup All purpose flour
  • 1 cup Boiling water
  • As required For the Pan Frying
  • 4 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cup Water
  • As required For the Dipping Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce

Directions: Pot Stickers Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1. Cut stripes of napa cabbage and mix some salt. Remove excess water.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2.in another large bowl, mix the cabbage, pork, green onions, wine, cornstarch, the remaining 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, and the white pepper.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3. In a smaller bowl mix flour and 1 cup of water and make a dough.

step 4

  • STEP 4.4. Knead the dough slightly and make smooth dough.  cut the dough each into ½ inches and roll. Fill 1 spoon of pork mixture on it and seal the edges using water.

step 5

  • STEP 5.1  heat a wok or nonstick skillet until very hot. Add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, tilting the wok to coat the sides.

step 6

  • STEP 6.2 place the dumplings and cook for 2 minutes.

step 7

  • STEP 7.3 then add a cup of water and cover until the water is absorbed.

step 8

  • STEP 8.4 for dipping sauce mix a tbsp of soy sauce with sesame oil and serve with the dumplings.
