  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1.25 Ves
  • 1/2 inch Cinnamon Stick

  • 1/2 Onion, Thinly Sliced
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 Green Chilies, Slit
  • 1/2 cup Mixed Vegetables
  • 1 tablespoon Biryani Masala
  • 1 cup Water
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • as per your need Fried Onions And Mint Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the basmati rice for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Heat ghee in a matka or heavy-bottomed pan.
  • STEP 3.Add whole spices, onions, and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, and cook for a minute.
  • STEP 5.Add mixed vegetables, biryani masala, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Add soaked rice, water, salt, and mix well.
  • STEP 7.Cover the matka with a lid and cook on low heat until the rice is cooked and the flavors are infused.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with fried onions, mint leaves, and serve hot.

Storage and Serving

  • Matka Veg Biryani can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Serve it with raita or a side salad for a complete meal.
