  • STEP 2.In a blender, add the roasted gram dal, grated coconut, green chilies, garlic, tamarind, salt, and water.
  • STEP 3.Blend everything together to form a coarse paste.
  • STEP 4.In a small pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and dried red chilies.
  • STEP 5.Once the mustard seeds start to splutter, pour the tempering over the chutney.
  • STEP 6.Mix well and serve the Pori Kadala Chammanthi with puffed rice or roasted chickpeas.
