About Poo Cha Recipe:

It is a dish prepared from frying shells crab shells stuffed with ground pork,crab meet & shrimp. The Thai people this would mean a really nice stuffed crab dish. It would also look something familiar for the Filipinos as we have a nearly similar dish called Rellenong Alimasag the difference is the ingredients used because the Filipino version uses crab and potato while the Thai version uses crabs, shrimps and minced meat. Poo Cha (Malaysian Style Stuffed Crabs) is a stuffed crab dish made out of crab, pork, prawns, eggs and other herbs and spices cooked twice and first by steaming then by shallow frying.

  • 6-8 Nos blue crab shells
  • 8 ounce ground pork
  • 4 ounce crab meat
  • 2 ounce Shrimp
  • 1 Nos egg
  • 3 Nos shallots
  • 6 Nos coriander leaves
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 3 dash Nos heavy ground black pepper
  • 8 Nos blue crab shells
  • As required Coating
  • 2 Nos eggs

How to Make Poo Cha Recipe

STEP 01

Take a bowl and mix all the ingredients of filling

STEP 02

Now stuff the filling into empty crab shells and dab it with the spoon

STEP 03

Then steam the stuffed crab for 5 mins and discard the excess water

Now let it cool down at room temperature then add some oil and heat it.

Then gently place the coated crab shells in the pan and fry them until golden brown
