A delicious,easy snack prepared from plantains,plantain flour and some palm oil . Plantain Moi Moi (Ukpo Ogede) is a delicious Nigerian recipe that was born out of plantain surplus. It is a great way to use up overripe plantains instead of throwing them away.

Ingredients for Plantain Moi Moi Recipe

  • 4 Nos Ripe Plantains
  • 1 cup Unripe Plantain Flour
  • 2 Nos Habanero Pepper
  • 1 Nos Red Onion
  • As required Ground Crayfish
  • 2 Cooking Spoons Palm Oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 Nos Maggi cube
  • As required Water

Directions: Plantain Moi Moi Recipe

  • STEP 1.Peel off the plantain and cut the two ends.

  • STEP 2.Chop plantain ino pieces

step 3

  • STEP 3.Blend plantains,onions,pepper into a fine paste

step 4

  • STEP 4.In a bowl add plantain flour,add some water and make a smooth paste

step 5

  • STEP 5.Then add the blend plantain mixture into the bowl

step 6

  • STEP 6.Mix wel and add palm oil,crayfish,salt and magi cubes

step 7

  • STEP 7.Mix thoroughly

step 8

  • STEP 1.Add water in a large pot and bring it to a rolling boil.

step 9

  • STEP 1. fill the batter into air tight containers and gently place them into the pot.

step 10

  • STEP 1. Now cover the pot and cook the moi moi for 30 mins.

step 11

  • STEP 1. Leave to cool down and serve
