Cooking Directions

  • Soak a cedar plank in water for at least 1 hour.

  • Place the tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Remove the cedar plank from the water and place it on the grill. Let it heat up for a few minutes.
  • Place the marinated tuna steaks on the cedar plank and grill for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  • Remove the tuna steaks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Storage and Serving

  • Serve the grilled tuna steaks with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad.
  • Leftover tuna steaks can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Cooking Tips

  • Before you toss the tuna on that roaring fire, use a set of tongs and wipe the grill grates with a paper towel that’s been dipped in a bit of vegetable oil. This will prevent your tuna from sticking to it.
