Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, mix together semolina, chickpea flour, yogurt, and water to make a smooth batter.
  • STEP 2.Add pizza sauce, salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and baking soda to the batter and mix well.
  • STEP 3.Grease a dhokla plate or a round cake tin with oil and pour the batter into it.
  • STEP 4.Steam the dhokla for about 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • STEP 5.Once cooked, remove from the steamer and let it cool for a few minutes.
