A chutney or pickle made of Pineapple in Kerala style The flavors of pineapple pachadi is complex. While pineapple does lend its sweetish taste, aroma & flavor, there is also some pungency from the ground mustard seeds and a bit of heat and spiciness coming from the green chilies The recipe comes from the Kerala cuisine. The taste and flavor of pineapple pachadi is very different from the regular Pineapple raita.

Ingredients for Pineapple Pachidi Recipe

  • 4 cup diced pineapple
  • 2 chopped green chilies
  • 2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Coconut milk with shredded coconut
  • 200 gram Curd
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon methi seeds
  • As required Curry leaves
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Onions
  • 2 dried red chili

Directions: Pineapple Pachidi Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Cut the pineapple into dicy shape

step 2

  • STEP 2.Chop the onions and green chilies

step 3

  • STEP 3.Heat 2 cups of water in the cooking vessel

step 4

  • STEP 4.Add the pineapples, salt and chilies , let it boil

step 5

  • STEP 5.Add the coconut paste milk and curd , then mix well

step 6

  • STEP 6.In the frying pan heat 2 tbsp oil, add 1tsp mustard seeds, curry leaves, 1tsp methi seeds, chopped onions and dried red chili

step 7

  • STEP 7.Fry them until they pop and the onion turns brown

step 8

  • STEP 8.Add the fried spices in the cooking vessel .

step 9

  • STEP 9.Mix them and cook for 2 mins

step 10

  • STEP 10.Serve as chutney after meal .
