A recipe of bengali samosa with potato and cauliflower filling Bengali style Potato Cauliflower Samosa is one common food that can be found in any Bengali sweet shop. If you’re in Bengal visit any nearby sweet shop in the evening and you’ll notice a bamboo cane basket (jhuri) somewhere inside the shop piled up with these golden, crisp, hot samosas. They disappear very quickly as people like to grab them warm, so, once fried and served the basket gets empty less than an hour.

  • 240 gram All purpose flour
  • 5 gram Salt
  • 12 gram Sugar
  • 5 gram Ghee
  • As required Water
  • 10 gram Diced potatoes
  • 125 gram Cauliflower
  • 5 gram Ginger and green chilies
  • 30 gram Peanuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon Panch Phoran
  • 2 Dried red chilies
  • As required Sugar
  • As required Salt
  • As required Black salt
  • As required Kasuri methi
  • As required Make a masala with

  • STEP 1.Heat a pan and add oil

  • STEP 2.Add peanuts and fry until golden, set aside

step 3

  • STEP 3.Fry cauliflower and set aside

step 4

  • STEP 4.Add dry red chilies and panch phoran

step 5

  • STEP 5.Add potatoes and salt , mix well

step 6

  • STEP 6.Fry until golden

step 7

  • STEP 7.Add the ginger green chili paste

  • STEP 8.Add the prepared masala 1tsp

step 9

  • STEP 9.Add crushed kasuri methi

step 10

  • STEP 10.Add the cauliflower and peanuts

  • STEP 11.Add black salt

step 12

  • STEP 12.For the other skin knead the flour with water,salt, sugar and ghee

  • STEP 13.Make samosa and use the prepare aloo as a filiing

step 14

  • STEP 14.Seal the mouth with water

step 15

  • STEP 15.Deep fry the samosa

  • STEP 16.Serve with chutney or sauce
