Ingredients for Penne Arrabiata Recipe

  • 0.67 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup peeled garlic
  • 2 No.s San marzano tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoon whole fennel seeds
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 0.33 cup dry red wine
  • As required Kosher salt and ground pepper
  • 1/4 cup julienned fresh basil leaves
  • 450 gram dry penne rigate
  • As required Freshly grated Parmesan Cheese

Directions: Penne Arrabiata Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1. In a medium oven, warm the olive oil and add garlic and cook for 10 minutes.

  • STEP 2.Drain the tomatoes and roughly chop them. Pour the tomato in a pot with olive oil and add fennel seeds, red pepper, red wine, 1 tbsp salt and 1 tbsp black pepper. Bring to boil and simmer for 30 minutes. Stir in basil and seasoning.

  • STEP 3.Meanwhile bring a pot of water to boil and add 2 tbsp kosher salt and the penne and cook.

step 4

  • STEP 4.Take out the pasta when done and add it to the sauce along with ¼ cup of pasta water. Simmer for 2-3 minutes and pasta is ready to be served.
