  • 32 ounce hor fun
  • 1/2 pack vermicelli
  • 3 tablespoon Oil
  • 1.50 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon kecap manis
  • 12 Shrimps
  • 12 piece pork meat
  • 12 Nos bay scallops
  • 12 piece Nos thin fish cake
  • 14 ounce Chicken Broth
  • 5 stalks Chinese mustard green/choy sum
  • 1.50 cup Water
  • 3 Nos garlic cloves
  • As required Starch
  • 2 tablespoon corn flour
  • 2 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 0.13 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 dash white pepper powder
  • As required Salt

Directions: Penang Char Hor Fun Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Soak the vermicelli in warm water for 15 mins

step 2

  • STEP 2.Break the flat rice noodles off by peeling the layers

step 4

  • STEP 3.1.add ½ tbsp oil in a pan

step 5

  • STEP 4.2.toss the vermicelli and stir it

step 6

  • STEP 5.3.add soy sauce,kecap manis and stir it continuously until lightly burned

step 7

  • STEP 6.4.repeat the same process for the flat rice noodles

  • STEP 7.5.add some oil in a pan & fry the chopped garlic

step 9

  • STEP 8.6.then add pork,shrimp,bay scallops,fish cake and stir

step 10

  • STEP 9.7.add chicken,water,all the seasoning and bring it to boil.

step 11

  • STEP 10.8.now add the starch mixture to thick the gravy.

step 12

  • STEP 11.9.add the mustard green, quickly stir it and turn off the flame.

step 13

  • STEP 12.10.now take a plate and put vermicelli and flat rice noodles equal portion

step 14

  • STEP 13.11.now pour the gravy and toppings on top of the noodles and vermicelli.
