A tasty stir fry of juicy deep fried slices of pork fillet tossed with green pepper, ginger garlic and flavoured with hoisin sauce.This Chinese pork recipe is ideal as a side dish or part of a multicourse meal. Shredded pork is marinated and stir-fried, then mixed with a sweet and sour Peking sauce. It is kept simple by serving over shredded cabbage. Feel free to enhance the appearance of this simple dish with green onion brushes, carrot curls or other vegetable garnishes.

Ingredients for Peking Pork Stir Fry Recipe

  • 300 gram Pork fillet thinly sliced
  • 2 Spring onion sliced Nos
  • 1 piece Green pepper cut into bite size Nos
  • 3 Garlic sliced cloves
  • 1/2 Ginger finely chopped cm
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoon Cornflour
  • 3 tablespoon Hoisin Sauce
  • As required Salt

Directions: Peking Pork Stir Fry Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 in a large mixing bowl add 300 gm thinly sliced pork fillet, 2 tbsp cornflour and mix well to evenly coat the pork.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 in a wok heat 1 ltr oil, when hot deep fry the pork for 5 minutes. Stir gently to separate the pieces.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3 when light brown , use a slotted spoon to remove and drain the pork.

step 4

  • STEP 4.4 in a pan heat 1 tbsp oil, add ½ cm finely chopped ginger, 3 cloves thinly sliced garlic, 2 sliced spring onions and stir fry for a few seconds.

  • STEP 5.5 then add the fried pork, 1 green pepper cut into bite size pieces and stir fry for 2 minutes.

step 6

  • STEP 6.6 add 3 tbsp hoisin sauce and stir fry for 3 to 5 minutes.

step 7

  • STEP 7.7 lastly add salt to taste and drizzle 1 tbsp sesame oil. Transfer toa dish and serve.
