It grows naturally in tropical areas (where it can be found on dead wood), and is also cultivated commercially for both culinary and traditional medicinal uses. This particular soup, also known as White Fungus Soup, may not have the most attractive name. But it is a traditional, sweet dessert to serve after a big Lunar New Year meal, which is why we’re posting it this time of year. Add pears to my version, for some added sweetness and health.

How to Make Pear With White Fungus Recipe

step 1

STEP 01

Soak snow fungus in water for at least 30 minutes. Now rinse the soaked fungus and cut it into pieces. Remove skin of pear and shred it.

STEP 01

Take a bowl and add pear and fungus and enough hot water that pear and fungus are mixed well.

STEP 01

Add water in a pot and then place the bowl into it add honey date and cover the bowl with a plate.

step 4

STEP 01

Now bring the pot’s water to a boil and then cover the pot. Then reduce the flame and double boil it for 3-4 hours.
