Pav bhaji is a fast food dish from India. It consists of a thick vegetable curry served with a soft bread roll. Vegetables in the curry may include potatoes, onions, carrots, chillies, peas, bell peppers, beans and tomatoes. Its origins are in the state of Maharashtra. This dish is a beloved dish all over the country and is served in almost every state.

Ingredients for Pav Bhaji Recipe

  • 1/2 cup chopped cauliflower
  • 1 No.s chopped carrots
  • 1/2 cup french beans
  • 1-1.50 No.s Potatoes
  • 1/4 No.s beetroot
  • 1/2 No.s Tomato
  • As required Salt
  • 2.50 teaspoon pav bhaji masala
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 No.s chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 No.s green chilly
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon kashmir lal mirch
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 0.13 cup coriander leaves
  • As required Half lemon

Directions: Pav Bhaji Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1. Roughly chop cauliflower, carrots, beans, potatoes, beetroot, tomato and put them in a pressure cooker with 1 cup water, 1 tsp grated ginger, salt and 3 tsp pav bhaji masala.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2. Mix it well and cook in a pressure cooker for 2-3 whistles.

  • STEP 3.3. After it cools down blend the vegetables using a hand blender.

  • STEP 4.1. In a pan take some oil, butter, cumin, chopped onions and saute at medium heat for 3-4 minutes.

  • STEP 1.2. Add capsicum, tomatoes, green chilly, ginger and garlic. Mix everything and cover it and cook.

  • STEP 1.4, now add kashmiri lal mirch, coriander powder, turmeric, 2 tsp pav bhaji masala and salt. Cook the masala for 2 minutes and add a cup of water.

  • STEP 1.6. Add the cooked vegetables and mix everything. Cover the pan and cook it on medium flame. Add frozen peas, coriander leaves and lemon juice.

  • STEP 5.9. Give it a nice mix and your pav bhaji is ready.
