Ingredients for Patra Recipe

  • 1 Pieces Colacasia leaves
  • 30 gram Gram flour
  • 20 gram Tamarind pulp
  • 4 gram Chilli powder
  • 1 gram Turmeric powder
  • 0.40 gram Asafoetida
  • 0.40 gram Cumin seeds
  • 4 gram Sugar
  • 4 g Oil
  • to taste Salt
  • 6 g Oil
  • 1 gram Mustard seeds
  • 2 gram Sesame seeds
  • 5 gram Coriander seeds
  • 15 gram Coconut

Directions: Patra Recipe

  • STEP 1.Chop the coriander leaves.
  • STEP 2.Grate the coconut.
  • STEP 3.Cut off the thick veins and wash the colacasia leaves.
  • STEP 4.Mix the listed ingredients and make a thick batter.
  • STEP 5.5.
  • STEP 6.Place a colacasia leaf on the table and spread a thin layer of the batter on top, place another leaf on top, repeat applying the batter. Fold in the sides of the leaf, then roll lengthwise into a tight roll.
  • STEP 7.For cooking:
  • STEP 8.Steam the rolls for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 9.Remove and cut them into 1 cm thick slices.
  • STEP 10.Arrange the slices on a platter.
  • STEP 11.Heat the oil and add the mustard seeds, when they crackle add sesame, coriander leaves, and coconut.
  • STEP 12.Pour this tempering on the sliced patra. Serve warm.
