A simple and healthy soft meen pathiri recipe made from rice flour, tuna fish ,lagoon fish and served with black tea.Pathiri is a pancake made of rice flour. It is part of the local cuisine among the Mappilas of Malabar region in Kerala State of Southern India. Today, pathiri is still a popular dish among the Muslims in Kerala.

Ingredients for Pathiri Recipe

  • 200 gram Mackerel
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 2 Onions
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic
  • 4 green chillies
  • 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 bunch coriander leaves
  • 1 bunch curry leaves
  • 1 cup rice flour
  • As required Water, oil, and salt

Directions: Pathiri Recipe

  • STEP 1.Boil some water and add into the rice flour

step 2

  • STEP 2.Mix well into a smooth dough

step 3

  • STEP 3.Keep it aside

step 4

  • STEP 4.Marinate mackerel with turmeric powder and black pepper powder

step 5

  • STEP 5.Cook the marinated fish

step 6

  • STEP 6.Shred the cooked fish into small bits after removing the bones

step 7

  • STEP 7.Heat oil in a pan

step 8

  • STEP 8.Add the chopped onions, ginger, garlic, green chillies, fennel seeds, tomatoes, coriander leaves, curry leaves, and salt

  • STEP 9.Sauté well…

step 10

  • STEP 10.Add the shredded fish

step 11

  • STEP 11.Mix well

step 12

  • STEP 12.Turn off heat and keep it aside

step 13

  • STEP 13.Make small balls from the previously prepared dough

step 14

  • STEP 14.Roll this into thin pathiri using a rolling pin
