Ingredients for Pastitsio Recipe

  • 30 g Pasta any shape
  • 2 Eggs
  • 140 gram Feta Cheese
  • 1-2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • NaN As required Salt
  • NaN As required Black pepper
  • 1.50 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 3 Garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato paste
  • 400 gram Tomato Sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme
  • 1/2 cup Red wine
  • 2-3 tablespoon Olive oil
  • As required For the béchamel sauce
  • 1 Litre regular Dairy Milk
  • 120 gram Butter
  • 120 gram Flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 85 gram Parmesan cheese
  • 2 egg yolks

Directions: Pastitsio Recipe

  • STEP 1.Cook the food too hard in step with package directions, drain.
  • STEP 2.Let cool slightly, then add a pair of eggs, cut parsley, cheese, salt and pepper.
  • STEP 3.Stir to mix.
  • STEP 4.Transfer the food to a lubricated 13x9-inch baking dish and put aside.
  • STEP 5.Meat mixture heat a pair of tablespoons of oil over medium heat in a very massive cooking pan.
  • STEP 6.Add cut onion, sauté for 3-4 minutes, add crushed garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes additional.

  • STEP 11.Bechamel sauce sauce in a very massive pan over medium heat soften the butter, add flour and whisk endlessly, till sleek paste forms.
  • STEP 12.Step by step add the nice and cozy milk whereas regularly whisking to stop lumps. Whisk till the sauce is sleek and thick. Take away from heat and add pinch salt, black pepper, nutmeg, cheese and egg yolks, whisk till sleek.
  • STEP 13.Heat up the kitchen appliance to 350f (175c).
  • STEP 14.Add 4-5 tablespoons of the white sauce to the meat mixture and blend till well combined.
  • STEP 15.Unfold meat mixture over the foodlayer.
  • STEP 16.Pour white sauce over the meat mixture and unfold equally.
  • STEP 17.Grate some cheese cheese on high.
  • STEP 18.Bake for forty minutes, till golden brown.
  • STEP 19.Take away from the kitchen appliance and let cool for a minimum of half-hour before serving.
