Ingredients for Pasta Frola Recipe

  • As required The Crust
  • 130 gram Cornstarch
  • 390 gram self rising flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 150 gram Granulated Sugar
  • 200 gram unsalted butter, cold and cut into cubes
  • 2 No.s lemon, zest
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 3 No.s large eggs , cold from the fridge
  • As required The Filling
  • 500 gram quince cheese , cut into cubes
  • 3 tablespoon orange cognac
  • As required Others
  • 1 No.s egg yolk , for brushing
  • 1 tablespoon any jam or honey , for brushing
  • As required desiccated coconut

Directions: Pasta Frola Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1. take some flour and baking powder in a bowl.

step 2

  • STEP 1. add in some sugar, butter, eggs and incorporate everything together.

step 3

  • STEP 1. knead it into a dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

step 4

  • STEP 1. add quince cheese in a pan and heat on low flame until it melts.

step 5

  • STEP 1. add in the orange cognac and mix well.

step 6

  • STEP 1. keep it aside and let cool.

step 7

  • STEP 1. roll the dough flat and sprinkle some dough on tip.

  • STEP 1. place the rolled dough in a baking pan in such a manner that your edger are 1/2 an inch tall.

  • STEP 1. make thin cylindrical strips with the remaining dough and chill them for 10 minutes.

  • STEP 1. pour the filling onto the crust and spread it evenly.

  • STEP 1. arrange the rolled strips on top and brush them with egg wash

step 12

  • STEP 1. bake in a preheated oven at 170 degree c for 45 minutes.
